Returns Policy

At Coastal Farm & Ranch (Coastal), we stand behind what we sell. If you aren’t fully satisfied with something you’ve purchased from us, we provide an easy Returns process with a 60-day return window.

For in-store and pickup orders, you can return your order to any Coastal store location for an exchange, Coastal Gift Card, or refund.

For an order that was shipped to you, you can choose to return at any Coastal store location or ship it back to us.  Just call, email, or live chat Customer Service and we will start your return process and send a return shipping label to you via email.

For best results, when returning an item, bring these with you:

  • A valid photo ID
  • The original receipt, dated within the last 60 days
  • The original payment method used on the receipt (Visa, Amex, etc.)

Please Keep Your Receipt!

Coastal offers a full refund or exchange if you have proof of purchase such as a receipt, gift receipt, order confirmation email, or invoice.

No cash refunds will be available for any returns without a receipt or if you are unable to provide the original payment method.

We require a valid government-issued photo identification for non-receipt returns and returns generated from purchases made with store credits.

If you are missing your order confirmation email or receipt, we may be able to locate your order in our system. To help us find items in your purchase history, and to have your order history show up in our “My Account” section of our website, register for a website Account and check out while logged in with your Account when purchasing products online from us. If your product does not have proof of purchase, we are happy to offer a credit or gift card at the lowest sale price.


Return Window

Coastal offers a 60-day return window on unopened and unused products that fall within the policy limits. You can find any exceptions to those limits below.

Many of our products have manufacturer warranties which should be used in place of Coastal’s return policy. If the product you have purchased has a manufacturer defect in its materials or workmanship you can return it. Please work with the manufacturer directly, or visit/ contact the Coastal store department related to your product or contact Coastal Customer Service for the warranty coverage information.


Exceptions:

There are a few exceptions to our Return Policy. They include:

Improper Use

  • Our policy does not cover regular wear and tear, damage from improper use, or accidents.
  • Footwear, Apparel, Saddles, and Saddle Pad products must be returned unworn, unwashed, with original garment tags present.  You can try the products on for fit (except undergarments).
  • Products must be returned with all components for a full refund.

Some additional restrictions that apply:

Defective Products

Defective products subject to a manufacturer warranty will be returned per the product’s manufacturer policy.

 

Reduced Return Windows

Some products available at Coastal have a reduced return rate due to manufacturer requirements or resale capability of the item, these reduced items include:

  • Electronics & Gas-powered Products - Generators, gas-powered equipment, and consumer electronics may only be returned within 30 days, due to manufacturer warranty requirements. All other Power Equipment will be repaired and returned to the customer.

 

Final Sales

To protect the safety of our customers and their animals, we do not allow returns on any vaccine, injectables, or products that are temperature sensitive, or with short expiration periods. A full list of Final Sale items include:

  • Ammunition, firearms, gunpowder, primers
  • Vaccines
  • Wormer and life stock medications
  • Refrigerated items
  • Live animals
  • Any item cut to length
  • Gift Cards and eGift Cards
  • Consumables for animals and humans such as snacks and treats with short expiration dates.


Cash and cash equivalent purchases exceeding $250 must be refunded by check sent from the Coastal Home Office.

Original shipping charges will be fully refunded if the return is the result of an error by Coastal. Items must be returned with all components for a full refund. If an order arrives damaged, incomplete, or needs replacement parts, contact Customer Service at 888-738-5717

Due to safety hazards, items that use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned through the mail, even if the item has been drained of these materials. This should include (but is not limited to) items such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and any other items that use flammable liquids or gases. Please return these products to your local Coastal Store.
