Returns Policy

Our Promise

We stand behind what we sell. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we offer a clear and consistent return process with a 60-day return window, subject to the policy guidelines below.

Return Eligibility & Timeframes
  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in original condition, with all components and packaging included to the best of the customer’s ability.
  • Most items may be returned within 60 days of the original purchase date or the online invoice date.
  • Some items have reduced return windows or are final sale due to safety, regulatory, or manufacturer requirements (see exceptions below).
How to Return an Item
In Store Purchases
  • Items purchased in store may be returned to any Coastal location.
  • Please bring the following:
    • The original receipt or proof of purchase
    • The original form of payment
    • A valid government-issued photo ID (required for non-receipt or store-credit returns)
Online & pickup orders
  • You may return at any Coastal location if you have your invoice or order confirmation.
  • You may contact Customer Service to initiate your return and receive shipping instructions (when eligible).
Refund Methods
  • Refunds are issued to the original form of payment whenever possible.
  • If you have proof of purchase but the original payment method is unavailable, refunds will be issued as a store gift card.
  • Returns without proof of purchase may be eligible for store credit or a gift card at the lowest recent sale price.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of a company error.
Refund Processing Time (for online orders)
  • Returned items must be received and inspected prior to issuing a refund or exchange.
  • Please allow the following:
    • 2–5 business days for processing after receiving your returned merchandise
    • An additional 3–5 business days for funds to appear, with some variation depending on your financial institution
Reduced Return Windows
  • Electronics and items with motors have a 30-day return window.
  • Gas-powered equipment and generators are subject to manufacturer warranty:
    • They will be repaired and returned when applicable.
    • Gas-powered equipment and generators are not eligible for standard return or exchange.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
  • Ammunition, firearms, gunpowder, and primers
  • Licenses and permits
  • Vaccines, injectables, wormers, and livestock medications
  • Refrigerated or temperature-sensitive items
  • Live animals
  • Swimwear and undergarments
  • Clearance items and special orders
  • Any item cut to length
  • Gift cards and eGift Cards
  • Consumable food or animal treats with short expiration dates
Defective or Damaged Items
  • Items that arrive damaged, incomplete, or defective due to a manufacturing issue may qualify for repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Many products are covered under manufacturer warranties, which may supersede this return policy.
  • Please contact Customer Service or your local store for assistance with warranty claims.
Shipping & Safety Restrictions
  • Items that use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned by mail, even if drained.
    • These items must be returned to a Coastal location.
  • Return shipments must include:
    • The tracking number or proof of purchase
    • The item packaging (if it came packaged)
    • All components that came with the item (cords, instruction manuals, etc.)
Additional Guidelines
  • Regular wear and tear, improper use, or accidental damage are not eligible for return.
    • Apparel, footwear, saddles, and saddle pads must be unworn, unwashed, and with original tags attached to be eligible for return.
  • Items must be returned with all original components and accessories, product packaging, and manufacturer paperwork that was included at the time of purchase for full refund eligibility.
