Cooking a Margarita Pizza
For our classic margarita pizzas on the Kamado Joe Classic, we’ll need about an hour and a short list of ingredients.

Pizza Dough

1 envelope active dry yeast
2.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups warm water
1 teaspoon salt

Other Ingredients

Pizza sauce
Mozzarella
Fresh basil leaves
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Create your dough by mixing the yeast and sugar into warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then mix in the flour, salt, and oil until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly. After 5 minutes or so, you can add some flour to a cutting board and roll out the pizza dough.

Set your Kamado Joe to 650º F and place your pizza stone so it’s even with the opening of the grill. Then, place the pizza dough on a pizza peel. Be sure to add some cornmeal to the peel first so the dough slides off.

Add your sauce, mozzarella, and a dash of salt and pepper to taste.

Place the pizza into the Kamado Joe and cook for 18 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the toppings cooked. If you want to add basil leaves, put them on a few minutes before the pizza is done.

Remove and let it cool.
