Mozzarella Meatball Sliders

January 24, 2018

Tackle some serious hunger during the big game with this fun and easy recipe. It’s even the perfect dinner recipe for finicky family members who love big taste. You’ll find a set of step-by-step directions and your list of ingredients below the video.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chuck or ground beef
  • ½ cup panko or breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ medium onion (diced)
  • 1 large jar marinara sauce
  • 12 small dinner rolls or slider rolls
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella

Directions

Mix your meat and breadcrumbs, milk, garlic, salt and pepper into a bowl and kneed together with your hands. Then roll the mixture into individual tablespoon sized meatballs.

Next, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onions and cook for 1 minute.

Add your meatballs to the skillet with the onions and brown all sides (at least 1 minute). This may require several batches, depending on the size of your skillet. Once done, add all the meatballs back into the skillet.

Pour the jar of marinara sauce into the skillet with the onions and meatballs. Cover with a lid and allow to simmer for 20 minutes.

Once done, cut your dinner rolls in half. On the bottom half, place a handful of grated mozzarella along with one meatball (with sauce and onions). Then place the top half to complete the slider.

Serve and enjoy!
