Grilled Chicken with Strawberry Salsa

Enjoy some grillin’ and chillin’ with this fun and easy recipe. Get your ingredients together, heat your grill, and watch the entire family come running. Directions and a list of what you’ll need can be found below the how-to video.


  • 1 fresh lime
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 2 cups strawberries (diced)
  • 1 cup pineapple (small chunks)
  • ¼ uncooked red onion
  • 2 tablespoons basil (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons jalapeño pepper (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Cooking spray


Zest your lime and set it aside. Then juice that same lime and set the juice aside.

Combine 1 tablespoon lime juice, garlic, ½ teaspoon olive oil, salt and pepper. Use the mixture to coat each side of each piece of chicken.

In another bowl, combine strawberries, pineapple, onion, basil, jalapeño, sugar, remaining lime juice (not used with chicken), and reserved lime zest. Set aside.

Lightly coat your grill with cooking spray. Heat grill to medium-high heat. Grill your chicken, flipping them once (3-4 minutes on each side). Be sure they reach 165º F internal temperature.

Serve with the strawberry salsa spooned over the top of the chicken.
